Pretty much what I do and what my eyes see everyday when I wake up. I left the camera on my bedside desk so when I woke up today, I grabbed it, and started shooting.
Hopefully you can feel the drowsiness of still being sleepy, lol

for all of these i used my 50 mm 1.4, fully manual lens, it was from my dad's camera and i adapted it to my canon, its from around 1969 so no autofocus haha, check it out: http://www.hocusfocus.cz/uploads/urunresim/21.jpg
